Acting as the main frame work of the human body, the skeletal system is one of the most important systems of the human body. The skeletal system supports the human body through its structure and frame work, without the skeletal system our body would have no shape nor would we be able to move properly. The skeletal system plays a vital role in protecting our internal organs, if we had no skeletal system we would most probably die or seriously injure ourselves extremely easily as our bodies would not be as durable. The skeletal system assists in providing movement in the body. Without the skeletal system we would not be able to move our muscles as they are attached to our bones and work in conjunction to assist in movement and structure. Our Skeletal System is also a storage area for numerous fats, nutrients and minerals as well as the production area for components which make up different blood cells.
